Here's something handy. If you join google voice you can pick two phone numbers in any area code to connect to your phone. This is great for all of those software accounts where you have to put in a phone number but don't want sales spam. Plus the google voice logs your calls in text. One drawback is it announces, "One moment while google voice connects your call".
